Privacy Policy –

During the course of providing you with psychotherapy services I have collected certain personal information which I require to effectively provide you with psychotherapy services. In accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act I am required to inform you as to what will happen to the information I have collected. Your personal information (i.e. dates of birth, address, etc.) will remain in my files and cannot be accessed by third parties as my files are stored under secure conditions and will only be released upon your specific written instruction. Your information will remain in my computer system unless you specifically ask me to remove it.  My computers are password protected and accessible only by myself and my trusted employees. I retain this information in my computer system only for ease of reference in the event I am required to contact you about your file in future or in the event you wish to commence psychotherapy services with me after a period of absence. The information is never given to third parties.  You may contact me if you have any questions about your personal information.

If I should discontinue my psychotherapy practice (I do not anticipate doing that at any time in the foreseeable future), I may pass this information on to any succeeding psychotherapist who will use it for purposes similar to these.

I may use this information for the purpose of contacting you in the future to advise you of any changes or developments in my psychotherapy practice that might be relevant to you or to inquire as to whether I may be able to assist you with any of your psychotherapy needs from time to time.  I may also use this information for the purpose of sending you general or specific information on issues that may be relevant to you or for the purpose of personal communication.
