In my work as a “lost and found specialist”, I embrace a healing centred approach that will allow you to explore your losses, ease your emotional pain and reawaken you to a life that is fulfilling and joyful.
My areas of expertise include:
- Loss and Grief ~ Loss is pervasive in our lives and can be traumatic. Death is an obvious example of Loss; Loss also includes the ending of relationships – with intimate others, family, children, and animal companions to name a few. Loss also can be of health, career, hopes, dreams, and plans. I compassionately support those experiencing Loss, helping them to surf the waves of grief, while integrating, and transforming this powerful moment in time into hope, and happiness.
- Elephant in the room conversations ~ I provide a safe, accepting place to openly discuss difficult topics such as suicide, drug overdose, medically assisted death, abortion, infertility, miscarriage. If you are struggling with thoughts that leave you feeling uncomfortable or ashamed, please reach out to me. Your thoughts do not define who you are, and yet they can provide valuable insight leading to self-growth and compassionate acceptance.
- Burnout and Compassion Fatigue ~ the most giving are at greatest risk of suffering from burnout and compassion fatigue; most will lose their sense of self to their work, then lose their sense of fulfillment at work due to these issues. I work collaboratively with caregivers, and health care professionals to mitigate the impact while building emotional resiliency.
- Adoption ~ is predicated upon Loss. I work passionately with all members of the adoption constellation, most especially adoptive parents and adult adoptees, to successfully navigate the unique Loss Journeys each member experiences.
In our sessions together I create a warm, welcoming, and safe space so that you feel completely free to share, and explore your deepest self in an effort to gain greater understanding, and personal growth.
I am a compassionate psychotherapist, and my work is always focussed on ensuring that you find our time together to be genuine, collaborative, emotionally abundant, never mundane, and ultimately transformative.
